Homestay Accommodation

When studying at Hobsonville Point Secondary School, we offer homestay accommodation to our international students and they can choose from one of the following options for accommodation:

  • Live with a homestay family (school-approved).

  • Stay with a family member or close family friend known to the student’s parents. This person is called a Designated Caregiver and will be police vetted and his/her house will be visited and treated as a homestay would be.

  • Stay with their mother or father, who can apply for a Guardian Visa to accompany them to New Zealand. The Guardian cannot work while in New Zealand on a Guardian visa.

If a student is staying in a homestay, or with a designated caregiver, an application form and an agreement form need to be completed when you fill out an enrolment form.
